Well people, we’ve come to the end of my MOVIE. Not quite what we were all expecting, was it? An alien invasion held off by a giant squid that rises up out of the Ocean’s depths, and controlled by the god Neptune’s telepathic powers? By the holy gods of Asgard, Batman! What was that?
Well, if you up-grade to PAID you’d see what it was all about. But you didn’t, so you’ll just have to take my word for it.
Which brings me to my question…
Have you thought about up-grading to the PAID portion of our program? I want to make little books — real books — the kind of books I can get through a printer that prints out exactly what I need, when I need them…but I need about 65 of my subscribers to up-grade to PAID so I can do this.
The idea is to send each of my PAID subscribers a copy of my novellas and novelettes. Just so you know the difference, a novelette is a story up to 20,000 words — THE AFRICAN SONGBOOK: A Tragedy In Five Acts would fall into this category. A novella is about 50,000 words, of which THE BASHFUL COURTESAN and THE DAWN PATROL qualify. If I can get 65 people to up-grade to the PAID status, I’ll have enough money coming in that will cover the costs of printing and MAILING each of you a copy.
I’d like to send out 3 copies of different stories each year.
Imagine that! All you do is pay $5/month, or the better deal, $50/year, and you’ll have 3 direct from the author books. That’s cheaper than ANY bookstore, unless you go to a thrift store. And how do I get your address? You send me a post card from whatever city you live in, with your return address on the back, and whatever message you want to send, and I mail you the books when they’re ready. And why a post card? Why not, I say!
It’s something to mull over, isn’t it? Of course I’ll sign them! What’s the point in having a copy of the book and not signing it? Imagine owning a copy of THE GREAT GATSBY (Novella, by the way). But what if you owned THE MARTIAN? That was a self-published book. Or, STILL ALICE — another self-published book. Even FIFTY SHADES OF GREY was self published. You could own a piece of history — you could be a piece of that history by making it happen.
