The story so far….

The Queen, Morgana LeFey has a lot to consider. With her failure at Tarquin’s Keep, and the rescue of Lady Gwenellyn by the noble actions of Sir Locksley, she realizes she is in danger of being exposed. Her one hope is that Gwenellyn will be too frightened to speak to anyone about what happened, and that Locksley is too smitten with the girl.

But there are other things on her mind, and they have to do with her nephews, who are determined to exact their revenge against Pellinore. She is afraid they will act against him while he is a guest under the King’s rule. And to complicate matters, they are also looking to kill Lamorak, having discovered he has been visiting their mother’s bed with regularity.

It is with heavy heart she hears that Pellinore now lays in bed, stroked by the Hand of God, as he is. She also learns that it’s possible Pellinore did not kill King Lot, but that the King died at the hand of Locksley.

But it is her nephew Agravaine who tells her of his plans to slay the old King as he journeys back to Listinoise where he is expected to die in peace. Agravaine has a far more sinister plan…
