This is PAYWALLED.
Sorry, that’s just the way it is,
. And let me explain why. Previously, I had given some of my more regular readers a free three month subscription allowing them to peek in behind the Paywall. I didn’t know what I should be giving them, until I came up with POET’S CORNER. There’s a reason for this.I plan to read poetry out to my subscribers. The poetry is English, because that’s all I know, sorry. I’m Canadian, and my education — as far as English class in school — was English Literature. Starting with Chaucer and BEOWULF, and working up to the Modern Age. I’m reading THE CANTERBURY TALES because I was a poor student and didn’t do all the reading I was assigned during class. So I’m reading it now.
I’m going to read Byron, and Keats, and Shelly, and Wordsworth, and yes, even Longfellow — he died in Cambridge, England, and is buried in Poet’s Corner. So if you want to listen to me reading out all those old poems we tried to avoid while we were in school, grab a MEMBERSHIP to THE PORTAL CLUB at just $30 for the year.
