Hello to you all! It’s been a rough week’s end. I went up and down and over and under, to end one subscriber above from where I started, and a PAID subscriber. Now we all know I don’t kiss and tell as to who we have on here because I know that most people value their privacy. I’m just grateful to have someone step up and sign up! Good on you!
As some of you who have been reading this all the way through, know, I have special chapters that are divided into “sub-chapters.” Chapter 4 was one of those. It was into five parts. Chapter 19 was the same…five parts. But this is Chapter 24, and it has a lot to say, and as a result is in 10 parts. I’m not about to post a 45 page chapter, so breaking it onto little “sub-chapters” was the way to do it.
In case you missed it, and, well, most of you did, din’tcha? But in starting the next part we started with our first sub-chapter with our love-lorn hero at a loss because Lamorak, actin as king on his father’s behalf, has given the Lady Gwenellyn away in wedded bliss to the son of Morgan LeFay. She has sent him a note promising that she is leaving the castle and promising to not be seen again. Talk about your basic heartbreak. He finds out that she dressed as a serving wench and simply walked out of the castle gates and into the town surrounding the castle.
He’s convinced he’ll never see her again…
In the meantime, Grummer and Bedivere have to find soldiers — mercenaries— anyone actually, to accompany them. He finds Pellinore’s Huntsmen, those men sworn to protect the King, but who have chosen to ride with Lamorak, as he is the acting Regent. What follows is a night of drunken revelry and story-telling the likes of which you’ll never believe. It ribald, raucous humour at its best. Remember when I said this wasn’t the sort of story to read to your children? Yeah, well, this is why…
Oh yes, in case you’re wondering, I don’t enable the “FREE” look inside if you’re a Subscriber. You already know what it’s all about. If you want in to read it, pay the pennies a day price. After all, this is Part 3 of the series. I already gave the first 14 chapters away.)
