Yes, it’s paywalled…
You knew it was as soon as you saw it. This is the last chapter of Part Four. It’s a doosey, as they say. No spoiler alerts, but holy shit! You’ll want to get into this right away now that I’ve said that!
Anyway…my Sister-in-law and her daughter, as well as her two boys, will be leaving for Florida on Thursday. I’ve been volunteered to drive their suitcases to the airport. (There are four just for the Sister-in-law alone.) The wife will be taking the day off, I imagine. I had planned to do a possible “live” reading of my new POET’S CORNER. That would be a continuation of THE CANTERBURY TALES. Maybe I can do it on Friday?
My Sister-in-Law says she will be coming back in August, on her late son’s birthday, as that will be 100 days. She says that’s what they do in her culture — the native Fiji culture, as opposed to my wife’s Indian Fiji culture. They both generally do the same thing, with the ironic part of it being that my Sister-in-Law was recently baptized as a Catholic.
As it is, we’ll miss her, the niece, and her children as well. They get to leave the sane and safe security of The Great White North, to return to the madness of mayhem of The Felon’s America. Hopefully everything will be alright and there will be no problem with ICE. And that’s all I’ll be saying about that.
Now that things are returning to normal, I can tell you some of my plans. Everything is up in the air at the moment. I won’t be getting my STORIES, AFTER EIGHT up this weekend, not if I plan to read for my POET’S CORNER. I’m also planning to go to a 50th High School reunion. 50 years? How the Hell did that go by so quickly? And then it will be Father’s Day. (Yea…) as if any father gets as spoiled as much as a mother does.)
I’ll let you read this because it’s late now — got home at close to 11:30 pm, and now it’s almost 1:30 am.
