CHAPTER 34 (PART) I

WELCOME TO THE PORTAL CLUB!

Yes, yes, yes, I know. It’s still paywalled.

And, not only that, it’s going to stay paywalled…

I’m not taking it down. Why would I? I know there are a lot of people out there who say you shouldn’t paywall your ‘Stack, but rather, give your writing away for free. (What? Damn, bitch! What you talkin’ ‘bout Willis?) To be honest, I don’t understand that reasoning myself. I’ve been writing since I was a kid, and now that I’m a senior, and retired why would I not think I can make this work? As of this moment, I’m only making about $50/month with my writing. It’s not a lot; in fact, it’s a little over $600 for the year, but I don’t care. It’s baby steps…

The paywall stays up, and…as I grow my ‘Stack, there’ll be more things going up behind the paywall. Pretty well any videos I make, will go behind the wall. In time, the only thing that will be free, will be my STORIES, AFTER EIGHT. I don’t expect to make 1000’s of dollars/month with this, (I probably won’t even make $100 a month in the next year), but eventually, I will.

But, there’s more than 200 of you that have access to this ‘Stack because I gave 170’ish of you FREE subscriptions. So read it while you can, people. And if you like what you read, grab a Membership to The Portal Club at $30 for the year.

Because this is the part of the story where the history meets the fantasy, and they both come together…and it does work. I just want to say right now that the more I look at the story, the more I want to make it into a novel. I want to print this up because I think it will actually work. I’m looking at KICKSTARTER, and POD’s, but in order to make it work, I need money. I need it even more now that we have tariffs on the horizon. I want to be able to ship them out at an affordable price.
