CHAPTER 37: SIR LANCELOT'S QUEST FOR ADVENTURE

Hello, and welcome if you’re new to my Substack.

This is the SERIAL/paywalled portion of my ‘Stack, and this is also where my new “cover” reveal takes place. Yes, I used Ai. The fact that I wanted to be an artist when I was a kid means nothing now, because it’s something I left back in my adolescence. I’m so far removed from it now, that it would take me too long to draw that.

Anyway, as some of you may know we’ve had a death in the family. Our nephew. My wife had actually booked her vacation for this past week, but that was a bust as last Thursday was the funeral. Today, we went to visit his mother and sister, (in from Florida), as well as his brother, only to be told that they’d picked up the ashes today. My wife held the box of ashes on her lap, and wept. Tomorrow we’re going to have a bar-b-que. I’ll be going down to the docks to pick up more BC Spot Prawns. I think our sister-in-law put in an order for Prawns and coconut milk…maybe I can viddy a bit of it?

I haven’t had a lot of time to write anything of late. Luckily for me, this story is finished and I can post it on a weekly schedule. There’s one more chapter after this, and then we’ll be into the last part of the book. It won’t be finished until the end of October. I actually looked at my most recent story: WHERE THE NIGHT HIDES ITS SHADOW for my FREE feature STORIES, AFTER EIGHT. I had hoped I could work on it tomorrow, but now there’s a bar-b-que to prepare for. I’ll try to get as much done as I can tonight, as well as tomorrow morning before I have to leave for the docks.

Anyway, if you haven’t up-graded to THE PORTAL CLUB, well, this is as far as you go. Just to let you know, I’ve been working on a short video piece…a “commercial” for my BTC-TV Channel 13. Hopefully, I can get it up and running for next week’s reading. I’m pretty excited about it.
