THE SHIELD OF LOCKSLEY
Chapter 30 is: The Queen's Ride; Or, The Queen's Own...in the ongoing saga that is the story of Locksley.
I didn’t get this out last night due to birthday celebrations. Apologies.
And yes, it’s paywalled, still…
I want to say hello to another PAID SUBSCRIBER. It’s been a strange month, I mean February has. It took me almost two weeks to gain and lose the same amount of Subscribers I had, dropping from 935 down a dozen, back up to 936 today. I also lost three PAID subscribers, two possibly through mischance, (their cards probably expiring) and one leaving purposely. I don’t chase after those who leave because I believe everyone has their reasons, and who am I to call them into question?
I’m grateful for every reader I have, and more so for every PAID reader.
As some of you may know, I published my novel THE BASHFUL COURTESAN on Monday. You can access it here if you’re interested in either a Paperback, or downloading the eBook:
I’m making a conscious effort NOT to look at my stats. Originally, it had been my intent to publish it with the money earned here through Paid Subscribers, but I’ only making $50/month. So my resources are somewhat depleted just paying for this one book, that being paying for the cover as well as ordering and shipping six copies.
As I said above, it was my birthday yesterday. It was a quiet night, filled with Californian wine — which I believe is still on the shelves because it’s not a Republican State, but belongs to the Democrats. I don’t know if it will stay like that. Let’s hope so.
But we’re not going to use this forum to discuss politics because I’m a Canadian and will always be one. It’s strange enough waking up every morning saying: WTF? This is what that ancient Chinese Proverb means when it said: “May you live in interesting times.”
So, without anymore ado, let’s get this out there…
