I know. It's pretty strange how it works out sometimes. There was no intention to write it like that. It just came out that way. But people see what they want to when they read. It's the same when I describe someone. I purposely leave it open so the reader sees the characters the way he imagines.

Actually, her saying it that way leaves it open to whatever you think that might be. She merely did what she had to, in order to survive.
Of course. It just strikes me that that particular sentence can be interpreted all different kinds of ways, if you don't know the context.
