The very beginning of this chapter hit me more than the graphic details of war. Dying with dignity. It’s staring me in the face right now with my own Mom. We should all be able to do that.

The death of your parents is so hard. I was curled up in the fetal position bawling my eyes out when my Dad died in his sleep. I was more prepared for Mom.

It is very hard but I don't think it's as difficult as seeing them suffer with complete loss of control or being in pain etc. I appreciated the start of this section that went into the voice of the sick Dad, super powerful. Also, you have a special knack for making their words seem very real. Some writers can't do that.

The dying and waiting for it, for both sides, you do that amazingly. While I'm catching up on your story well after the others and I enjoy listening, I'd appreciate a link to the one after this. That would provide some consistency for the lazy listener. While the die hard fans will go back to your list of posts and find the one after!
