Physical senses are vibrant here...And, olfactory being the last addressed matches the fact of it being the last to die when people do. Odd how a simple smell can regress people back to another dimension in life...Another time, place, person. The physical and psychological interplay is as overwhelming stones thrown into a murky pond where the ripples mesh and become one huge wave of envy of a doll. SNAP!!!

Smashing!

"... she throws herself into Mom’s arms. I wish I could do that." There lies the essence. Beautiful, Ben. The nostalgic smell of grandma's coat taking him back was so perfect. I enjoyed it from start to finish.

Thanks Donna! I feel pretty comfortable doing it now. I don't sweat it anymore if I flub a word or two. It might only take 12-15 minutes to read, but the uploading and processing are another 1/2 hour-45 minutes. Try doing that on Turkey day when you screw up twice and have to start from scratch again, the wife is trying to get a big meal ready and you're not there to open the wine for her! Now THAT'S stress! (She loves to cook with wine, and sometimes even puts it in the food!)
