The publisher of my short story collection used D2D to distribute both eBooks and paperbacks. D2D does a good job. And yes, we make more royalties on digital than paperback, and that's OK. If your experience is similar to mine, you'll rack in the same numbers for both formats ... and yes, I'm going to get your courtesan in eBook! I hope a bunch of your subscribers does the same!
I’m gonna start working on the beginner’s guide, but I’m so tied up with Locksley, I keep thinking I want to do that. Maybe we can DM each other and discuss things later in the week. Tonight’s not good, I promised to make dinner and she’s holding me to it…in the meantime, she down there making cannelloni. Go figger. The longer I’m with her, the harder it is to figure her out. Maybe I’ll just offer to open the wine.
Congratulations on publishing your book. I use Draft2Digital in addition to KDP. Both work really well, but D2D handles the layout easier. Good luck with your sales. Rene
Thank you so much for that…and, now I’ve got to start marketing and see how many pre-orders I can rustle up. The eBook is cheap, but the paperback is $11.99! No one’s going to buy that. But I’m not taking it down because I think it’s actually worth the price.
$11.99 is nothing for a paperback, Ben. I will buy a paperback as soon as they are available. I want to support your work, but I am old-school. I want a book in my hand. Let us know, please who/where/when soon as the paperback is available.
It's the story of a painting by Yevgeny the Dwarf, who is commissioned by Count Milan Novak to paint a portrait of his mistress, Anna Davadova, in 1914 pre-World War I Vienna. It's a story on two timelines, as it also takes place in Paris just before the Liberation of Paris, in 1945. It has to do with forgeries and art theft, as well as the search for the Resistance leader known by code-name Renaissance. One of the characters, okay, two, are also in CINDERELLA & HER SISTERS. It's part of a collection I was thinking of thirty or so year ago...TALES OF THE VIENNA WOODS.

And if enough do that, I might be able to afford the paperback!😁
Congrats, Ben! I'm also a fan of physical books. I'll keep an eye out for the paperback!

No rush. Just say when! I'm here whenever you're ready :-)

It’ll make a nice gift…eventually.

The paperback is coming out at the same time as the eBook. https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/1708394
March 3rd (That’s the day before my birthday, but don’t tell anyone. I started to count backwards when I hit 60, so I’ll be 53 again!)
Refresh my memory, Ben. What’s The Bashful Courtesan about again?
